OUR PROMISE
Complete the Steps to Enrollment
- Submit a Compton College application.
- Submit a Promise Application.
- Complete Virtual Orientation.
- Meet with a counselor to create an educational plan. *If applicable, submit Special Resource Center application to meet with SRC counselor.
- Apply for EOPS/CARE.
- REGISTER FOR CLASSES. Login to MyCompton and register for classes on or after your assigned ticket time. Registration information is available online:
- Enroll in a minimum of 6 units.

Cost
Personalized Services
Promise students will receive the following services:- Incoming students will receive Priority Registration to Compton College if they successfully complete the eligibility steps by the deadlines.
- Up to $400 a year for books and course supplies.
- Laptop loan program, where students who enroll in three consecutive terms may keep their Compton College issued laptop free of charge.
- Students who meet the specific requirements for admission to University of California, Irvine through the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) will be eligible to receive support and services through the Compton College Promise Graduate Advantage. For information about other Transfer related services and programs please visit the Transfer and Career Center.
- Compton College will assist students to complete the required Steps to Enrollment.
- Students will be eligible to participate in Support Programs, such as the First Year Experience (FYE) & Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOPS), to successfully navigate Compton College and beyond.
- Students will complete a Financial Fit Plan while accessing all available Financial Aid.
- Compton College will provide Summer Bridge to assist with college transition.
Students that successfully complete all eligibility steps by the deadlines will be admitted into the Promise program and guaranteed priority registration.
*All students who graduated from high school (or its equivalent), regardless of graduation date, are California residents or non-residents eligible for in-state tuition fees (under AB 540, California Nonresident Tuition Exemption Request), and have not completed any college credit (except for college classes taken while in high school) are eligible to apply.
