Provides access to education journals and other resources, linking to more than 300,000 full-text documents dating back to 1966.

Library, Information Science, & Technology Abstracts (EBSCO)
Indexes periodicals, books, and research reports on librarianship, cataloging, online information retrieval, and information management.

Project Gutenberg (Free for all users)
The first and largest single full-text collection of free eBooks, with over 25,000 titles in the Project Gutenberg Online Book Catalog.

A collection of periodicals, academic journals, and other content current news pertaining to all branches of the military and government.

History, Political Science and Ethnic Studies

America, History and Life (EBSCO)
Full-text articles covering the history and culture of the United States and Canada, from prehistory to the present.

Countrywatch
Provides background information about individual countries and political and economic news from around the world.

Examines a controversial issue every week, offering background information, pro and con arguments, and references for further study.

European Views of the Americas: 1493 to 1750 (EBSCO)
EBSCO Publishing, in cooperation with the John Carter Brown Library, created this comprehensive guide to printed records about the Americas written in Europe before 1750.

Provides pro and con sides of controversial issues.

SIRS KnowledgeBase Portal (SIRS)
Provides relevant, credible information on social issues, science, history, government, the arts and humanities. Articles on controversial issues feature pro and con sides. Full-text articles and internet resources are carefully selected from thousands of domestic and international publications and respected organizations. Databases about countries of the world, political conditions and their maps are also offered.

Vocational and Career Development

Learning Express 
Provides practice exams for basic skills, TOEFL, civil service, U.S. citizenship, nursing (including NCLEX), and other academic and career oriented preparations. Users must register and create individual account and password.

Occupational Outlook Handbook (Free for all users)
The Bureau of Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor provides this nationally recognized source of career information, designed to provide valuable assistance to individuals making decisions about their future work lives.
