Study Room Policy

The Library offers six study rooms to currently registered Compton College students. Additional study rooms are also available on the second floor of the L-SSC building inside the Student Success Center

Rules for Use

Library Conduct should be observed when using a study room. 
Limited to three people per room.

Use of a study room is further limited by the following:
  • Two hours per person, per day
  • No food or drinks without a lid
  • Maintain appropriate volume for conversation. Study rooms are NOT soundproof.
  • Do not damage, add, or rearrange furniture.
  • Do not lower shades.
  • Use only dry erase markers on whiteboards (not provided by the Library).
Any infraction of these rules will result in the loss of study room privileges. 

How to Borrow a Study Room

  1. Go to the Circulation Desk to request a study room in person. You will need to present your Compton College student ID card.
  2. You will need to sign a study room usage form and be responsible for your behavior.
  3. Library staff will unlock the study room for you.
