The CCC's California Virtual Campus-Online Education Initiative (CVC-OEI) partnered with Link-Systems International Inc. to offer tutoring resources that augment local college tutoring services. Currently, NetTutor serves 96 of the 114 California Community Colleges.
NetTutor allows the SSC to extend its support services beyond what is available on ground; specifically, for high-demand subjects such as statistics, chemistry, anatomy, and English. NetTutor is available year-round, 24/7 on demand for live tutoring, question drop-off, and writing feedback. Like Compton College SSC tutors, NetTutor tutors are highly-qualified and trained to College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) standards.
Starting March 30, 2020, NetTutor is available to all Compton College students via Canvas. To access NetTutor in Canvas, click here.

NetTutor complies with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and is FERPA-compliant. NetTutor meets every learner who asks for help "where they are" with an unwavering commitment to quality and inclusivity. NOTE REGARDING SMARTPHONE USAGE: Although NeTutor is Smartphone compliant, students must be aware that online tutoring via a Smartphone is distinct from online tutoring via a desktop, laptop, or tablet device; thus, can pose unique challenges (i.e. A smaller screen size calls for more toggling).
